Listen, I'm not here to downplay how real anxiety is. I know what it's like to have both anxiety attacks and panic attacks (they're actually different!) as well as what it's like to deal with depression. But having a little levity about mental health issues can be helpful when it comes to coping with the situation (as long as it comes from a place of understanding and love rather than a place of poking fun), and one of my favorite ways of coping with ANYTHING difficult has to be memes.
My friends and I send each other memes on a daily basis, and communicating how our various anxieties feel with them is one of the easiest (and funniest) ways to get across the point that we're not alone in the struggle. Below are some memes that anyone with anxiety will understand — some of them are honestly a little too real.
