Reddit User Shows Before-and-After Photos Using It Cosmetics's Bye Bye Redness Neutralizing Correcting Cream

If you don't suffer with rosacea or persistent redness, then chances are you haven't heard of It Cosmetics's famed Bye Bye Redness Neutralizing Correcting Cream. Despite what the name suggests, it's much less of an actual "cream" or moisturizer for the skin, but rather a cross between a color corrector and foundation that works to significantly disguise redness in those with conditions like rosacea, or people who struggle with facial inflammation due to environmental stressors or skin afflictions like psoriasis, eczema, and so on.

Put simply: This skin-care-makeup hybrid, which contains complexion-soothing ingredients like aloe, avocado, and colloidal oatmeal, is as legit as it gets when it comes to products that effectively cancel out redness. And one Redditor's experience using it is just further proof of how well it works. The user, a 28-year-old named Kristin, who goes by kmfred01 on Reddit, recently posted a before-and-after photo of herself to the subreddit, r/MakeupAddiction/ (one in which she's sans makeup and another post-application), and the results are mind-blowing.

When I saw her post, which she simply captioned, "I see you, It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness!, I couldn't help but need to know more. (Especially considering I'm someone who suffers with perennial redness myself thanks to a rare genetic skin condition.)

She told me that she's battled both acne and rosacea (talk about a double whammy) since she was a young teen, and that in all her years she hadn't found a product that conceals her redness with such a natural finish as Bye Bye Redness does. "I have dry, sensitive skin [and] it took such a small amount to cover my entire face, so the product was well worth the cost," she explained. (FYI, a .37 oz jar will set you back $32.)

She also added that it didn't irritate her skin or cause any new breakouts, which as I'm sure anyone with acne knows can be a serious issue when it comes to base products. Even better? She said it didn't cling to any of her dry patches or appear cakey at all — the latter of which is a problem I personally consider the bane of my existence.

Needless to say, I plan on purchasing a jar for myself, ASAP, as it's been a hot minute since I've given it a go and this definitely has me itching to get back on the bandwagon. If you, too, suffer from mild or severe redness, I highly suggest trying it out for yourself. Who knows, it could be the best product you've added to your arsenal to date.
