Beauty Vlogger Gina Shkeda Responds to Fan About "Natural Beauty"

There's nothing wrong with using makeup and other beauty products to make you feel good about yourself, but sometimes seeing other people looking so perfect on social media can be a bit intimidating. Even Chrissy Teigen says that scrolling through the old 'gram can make her feel "insanely inadequate." That's why bauty vlogger Gina Shkeda, who has a massive following on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, recently took a second on Twitter to clear things up when a fan reposted a photo of her with the hashtag #naturalbeauty.

Shkeda's original photo was posted on Friday and captioned, "Lashed out and Cabo baecay (LOL f me I really need to quit that term) ready." It shows her lounging in bed, appearing to look pretty makeup-free. However, as we all know, makeup-free doesn't necessarily mean that the person in the photo hasn't had other cosmetic enhancements (or just a good filter slapped on), and when a fan screenshotted the photo and tweeted, "If I could wake up as beautiful as @GinaShkeda I'd be the happiest girl alive #naturalbeauty," Shkeda decided to set the record straight.

Shkeda quote-tweeted her, saying, "Girl I have micro bladed brows, lash extensions in and lip injections - I don't even look like this 😂. you're flawless." While all those things are totally fine (and people don't necessarily have to disclose any cosmetic enhancements they have done), it's a great thing that someone with such a large following, especially young people, has decided to. Letting fans know that she works hard for her appearance just like many others is super honest and real, and folks on Twitter applauded her for it.
