American Music Awards 2016: Zoe Saldana's Gown Is Giving Off Major Patriotic Vibes

In the aftermath of the stress-inducing election, Zoë Saldana tapped into her patriotic side for the 2016 American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.

The actress stepped on stage to hand out an award wearing one of the most of-the-moment looks of the evening: A gorgeous off-the-shoulder red, white, and blue Monse gown, which she wore over a pair of cropped black trousers.

It's unknown if Saldana was subtly throwing shade to our future president-elect Donald Trump, or if she simply loved the colorful ensemble, but either way, we're all about the unexpected sparkly style moment.

For the rest of the look, the star went with sleek and simple accessories, like black-and-red strappy sandals, and for her Allure-approved American Music Awards Best Beauty Look, Saldana slicked back her straight strands into a sleek ponytail and added a sultry blue smoky eye into the mix.
