Kayla Itsines's "Army" Just Broke *Five* World Records At Once

Don't know Kayla Itsines's "army"? You should. The Instagram fitness star, Kayla Itsines, is not only worth the follow for her fit tips—these days, she's trying to shatter world records, too.

This past week in Melbourne, Australia, Kayla Itsines's "army" (a social media-sourced term for her fanbase) attempted to break multiple world records." Itsines' army participated in a huge group fitness class, and through sheer volume, were able to crack five world records: The most people to perform squats, star jumps, lunges, sit-ups, and running in one place! Strategically planned, the meetup took place on the official Guinness World Records Day (November 17), an annual event that guarantees winners will be officially placed in the following year's book.

We couldn't help but ask ourselves how one woman could rally such a large army. But then we thought about it. With almost six million Instagram followers to her name at time of publish (and a well-edited gym bag), her patented fitness plan seems like much more than just a trend, but rather a growing lifestyle. Anyone who is able to accomplish something at that large of a scale (just think of the coordination) deserves to be commended.

This continues to mark a positive shift for Itsines, who once solely focusing on obtaining that perfect "bikini body" and now encouraging health, movement, and self-love. (A bikini body is any one body in one, for the record.)

"OMG WE DID IT MELBOURNE!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!" Itsines wrote on Instagram next to a photo of her holding her plaque, announcing that they had officially broken five world records that night. "Thank you so much to my amazing team and family!!" she said.

Alongside the photos are a few videos of Kayla Itsines's "army" breaking records IRL, which, we've got to admit, are pretty inspiring. When anybody gets together and brings that much energy to the wellness scene, it's bound to be an amazing experience. Whether she or her Kayla Itsines's army is breaking the world's records, or even just your own, one thing's for sure: Itsines knows how to get people moving.
