When Palmer Paint created its Washable Glitter products, the brand probably didn't foresee every single use its customers might come up with. That appears to be the conclusion of Twitter user @LeleTill (a.k.a., Leah), who recently shared in a viral post, which proves sometimes reading the label isn't quite enough.
Till posted a series of photos that showed the Palmer Paint Products hot pink Washable Glitter bottle in action. "Washes easily off skin and out of most fabrics," reads the fine print, which she helpfully zoomed in on, just in case you missed it. For reasons unknown, Till proceeded to cover her entire face with the pink paint — and then discovered something unfortunate when she went to wash it off: Her skin remained a slightly less vibrant (but still extremely noticeable) shade of pink.
Naturally, she was none too pleased with the unexpected surprise. "See you in court Palmer Paint Products," she captioned the viral photo series, which has since racked up 47k retweets and 142k likes.
While some commenters were sympathetic to her plight, others were more...confused. Many asked why she had decided to use something not intended as face paint on her face in the first place. Others pointed out that it looked like at least the glitter had washed off. And some people just wanted to know if she would be pink forever — or if the color had finally faded. Possibly the best reactions came from those who found matching pink pictures (like Power Rangers and oddly-hued pups).
Hopefully, Leah has returned to her normal complexion by now. Let her Tweet serve as a reminder that even though poster paint labels might not expressly say you shouldn't put them all over your face, you definitely shouldn't put them all over your face.
