Let's be real: There is nothing not seriously rad about blacklight makeup. I mean, it turns shades of neon in otherwise total darkness soo... need I say more? And with a makeup-crazed holiday like Halloween creeping up quickly, it couldn't be a more perfect time to learn how to master a glow-in-the-dark lewk. Thus, we tapped the incredibly talented makeup artist, Yuui, to show us — and all of you — how it's done. Spoiler alert: It couldn't be easier.
As you'll see in the tutorial above, all you need is a fine-tipped brush (an eyeliner or lip one will do the trick) and a glow-in-the-dark palette or product of your choice. Yuui opted for Kryolan's Aquacolor UV-Dayglow, a 6-pan palette with hues of electric orange, yellow, purple, and more. The steps are beyond simple: You start by drawing varying sizes of circles in different colors all across the lid and then lower lash line. Follow up with a subtle feline flick, if that's your jam, and then finish it off with a blacklight lip to balance everything out.
The final look is otherworldly chic and will of course look even cooler at nighttime or in a dark room. Case in point: There's no way you won't earn legions of compliments when you walk into a room with this ~glowy face beat.
