This Face Warp Makeup Has the Internet Thinking It's Photoshopped

We all have different levels of expertise when it comes to makeup. Personally, I'm pretty good at doing my everyday face, but am pretty clueless at anything beyond that. Others, however, are more creative (and daring!) and go for more show-stopping looks. We've been seeing plenty of these polarizing trends pop up on social media lately, and Twitter user and makeup artist @lexusmperezz has just created a look that has the whole Internet shook.

She calls her look "distorted face," and it's easy to see why. In the thumbnail version of the photo it almost looks like she Photoshopped herself, or perhaps like it's a Snapchat filter — the work she does is seriously that good. However, when you zoom in, you can clearly see she used makeup to distort her features, and the effect it has is absolutely wild.

Folks on Twitter had a hard time believing their eyes. Some said they thought it couldn't possibly be real while others thought it was a super scary look (though they couldn't help but acknowledge the skill). Other people still asked for a tutorial, and I have to say, I'd love to see that. IMO, the best part is how the look works whether or not she has her eyes open. It's so detailed and it's honestly beautiful in its own way.

For her part, @lexusmperezz tweeted that she's so happy with all the positive feedback from the look, saying, "Thank you for all the love. I was lowkey feeling hopeless about my makeup lately and have been so uninspired and this just made me so happy!😭💕" That's what the beauty community is really all about.
