Meet the Newest Viral Video Sensation: The Mannequin Challenge

Every once in a while, a new viral video challenge takes the world by storm—remember when no one could stop planking and Harlem shaking? Well, brace yourselves, Internet, because your newest distraction has arrived: the #MannequinChallenge. If you haven't seen it blowing up your social feeds yet, it's only a matter of time.

To partake in the Mannequin Challenge, one must simply gather a group of people and freeze in place, just like, well, a plastic mannequin. The more people you recruit for the challenge the better—not to mention extra points for crazy situations and even more insane poses. Many of the videos, which can be found in droves on Twitter, are set to the track "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd (the group even recorded their own Mannequin Challenge).

When we say it's everywhere, we mean everywhere. It's taking high school classes by storm—so you know it's cool—not to mention in offices, at concerts, and at weddings.
